1920's Ira Pittinger's Gas Station
The main building was built in 1924. From 1924 to around 1938 Ira T. Pittenger (1873-1948) Operated a Cities Service Gas and Oil Station, providing gas, oil, Good Year tires and repair of automobiles.
1940's through 1950's
Rebranded to a Sunoco Station, Enderby's Sunoco operated here through the early 1950's. In addition to Sunoco gas and oil, Wolf's Head oil was sold and Coca Cola was added to the stations offering.
1950's through Early 1980's
Rebranded to a Sohio Station about 1955 through 1957 it was Oney's Sohio. Then from about 1958 through 1974 it was operated by Glenn E. Strong (1928-2012) as Strong's Sohio. Then ownership was acquired by Nathan "Dennis" Bailey Jr. (1947-2026) Operated as Bailey's Sohio from about 1975 through ??. Dennis Bailey was the first owner to petition for a liquor license, which was approved in March of 1976 for the location to sell carry out beer. The Sohio brand ended at our location in 1984.
1986-2006
Charles "Chuck" Huston (1942-2018) operated Huston's Carryout as a Marathon Gas & Oil Station. Gas service ended around 1996 and the location operated as a carry out and drive thru until 2006 when Chuck retired.
2012 to Today
Between 2006 to 2012 after a brief closure the location was operated as Woody's Carry Out until the location was purchased in July of 2012 by Roger McGinnis & Brian Vincent. Remodeled and adequately stocked with a variety of products, to supply the local community with what they need. Shiloh General Store was born. Going beyond just a carry out to grocery, automotive supplies, and general merchandise.
